The Great War, one that will decide the fate of all races, is at hand. When given the choice, will you run and hide, or stand and fight?
Long ago the Gods went into hiding, fleeing from the force of one that one of their own had created. The ancients, those of their kind that were born or created first, disappeared with them and the world changed. Brother turned on brother, parents turned away from their children, the world fell into chaos with little peace to be found. The Imaiyen tried to hold the world together but eventually even they had to hide behind their mighty walls. Watira, those born without the power needed to survive in this chaotic world, were given a new home of their own, a copy of the world in which they had lived, a home they called Earth. Hope was lost and it seemed that the world would belong to those who were corrupt enough to take and kill at will, then The Resistance rose up and a small order of peace was returned as they beat back those threatening to take over. Now the Ancients are returning, the promised battle is coming and the watira must rise and fight for the home of their ancestors or risk extinction. Soon the Gods will return and the battle that will define the future of Novanna will take place, whether those who fight it are ready or not.

The Beginning
The Gods and Goddesses created the world and everything that lives on it. Where they came from no one knows but the story of Novannas creation has passed down through the generations. Each God and Goddess contributed something to create the world that we all know.
Zolen with the help of the God of Gods, Huron, created Novanna, every mountain, valley, and gorge, placing the landscape for the others to create a work of art.
Iris filled select mountains with fire, so Novanna could ever change with each eruption and filled the space with air and wind.
Daetin, the Goddess of nature and Remora, the Goddess of life filled Novanna with animals, beings that could enjoy it and respect it. While Arranas gave them the ability to grow and thrive, Afrenia added diversity to make each being beautiful in its own way and Tarania gave them the energy to enjoy the life they were given.
Hera filled Novanna with water to help the occupants thrive, while Semoyia placed the sun high in the sky to warm Novanna below with Amerrissis’ light to accompany it, and Artisia hung up the moon to light the night, heavy with Liliths darkness.
Eros covered the tops of the mountains with ice to satisfy the many different animals his companions placed, while Hestia filled them with the feeling of propriety, helping them create their homes, and Genevieve gave them the freedom to roam as they pleased.
Zodius, Arina, and Ari gifted the predators of Novanna with a strategic mind, wisdom and strength and their prey with the wisdom to be able to escape. Renora and Athaya granted the plants and animals the ability to create future generations, while Amora gave them the power to love those close enough to love, and Evana gave them the patience to deal with the trials a family brings to life.
Aronus Jengal put Novanna in motion, setting the times and controlling the days, months, and years, aging Novanna and its occupants.
The Gods understood that in order for Novanna to thrive, death must accompany life so Hena released those that were old or in powerful pain from their earthly bodies, giving the souls to Remora to be reborn.
Then the Gods added one more being Novanna, Magicas, beings in their own image with powers not unlike their own; some more powerful than others, some immortal, some not. With these beings more gifts were granted along with the gifts of love, diversity, birth, death, strength, wisdom, strategy, growth, freedom, fertility, and patience that were already theirs.
Hephaestus was the one who granted them their powers, deciding which of the original Magicas he thought could handle the larger amounts of magic.
Pulsaia, Apaila, and Renira granted the Magicas the inspiration needed to create and Heran gave them the band of marriage to show their love.
Hexus, Hexler, and Pandora added to their freedom by giving them the options of destruction, hatred and sin, while Marana and Nicolie granted them the powers of truth and deception.
For those who chose the path of sin, hatred, destruction, and deception, Haiten and Perosia created the Underworld. Not a place of torture as most think, but a refuge, for Haiten and Perosia believe that no matter your beliefs you have a right to sanctuary.
Dementi and Derynia created the guardians of the Underworld, beings that were neither good nor bad as they were given the same freedoms as Magicas. They chose one, Navamos, to give the most power, he was to rule.
The Gods watched their creations and continue to watch them today, them and the generations that have come from them, always waiting for the moment when their visits to the planet they created are able to last more than a few days. Waiting for the time when they will be able to rejoin our lives.

Dragons
The beginning of Dragons is a murky story, pieced together through the centuries. There are many different versions of how they came to be. Some say that they were an experiment of a spell of potion master gone wrong. Some say that they were created by an evil lord to help him take over the magical world, and others tell a less climatic but more realistic story. The story of Toren.
Know no one knows where the king of Dragons came from, the tales and possibilities are endless, but that’s not the story we’re telling.
Toren lives among the Gods and Goddesses, and as happy as he was there, there was always something missing. He saw the Gods around him fall in love, have families, children that looked up to them, wives that stood by them. Feeling out of place he left his home and traveled the world that the Gods had created. He found many creatures, large and small but none like him.
Returning home he sought out the help of Remora, the Goddesses of life, Iris, the Goddesses of fire and air, Hephaestus, the God of all magic, Daetin, the Goddesses of nature, and Amora, the Goddess of love, to help him create others like him. Dragons who would rule the air, be loyal to their companions, and love like no other.
Together they created eleven, five mated pairs and Torens own Nanay. Together the six lived and raised their young until the time came that Toren had to return and they separated.
The five pairs flew to the different regions of the world, their children scattering to the winds. Nanay disappeared.
Some say that she and the others will only return once the danger has passed, once the gates are able to re-open once more, once the evil that forced the Gods into hiding is destroyed. Others say that they will return beforehand and that when they do we will all know that it’s time for the ultimate war.

I.S. & Warfiela
The first threat to the Gods came in the form of a woman named Angelique, a powerful Magica with control over the elements who used her powers to wreak havoc over all around her.
Angelique evaded the Gods and built her army, Demons and Magicas who craved the power she promised.
The Centaurs, Satyrs, Nymphs, and Fairies the Gods had created to protect the forest and it’s inhabitants stood against her minions but were swept aside.
She slaughtered all who didn’t bow to her, Magica, animal, and Magical creatures alike. Killing Unicorns, Pegasi, even Dragons in her search for power.
She captured every Karine she came across and forced them to use their powers to tell who would be the most useful to her, effectively destroying them along with the Chalices she imprisoned.
Enraged the Gods increased their searches, every time they caught up with her she would escape while they fought her armies.
Hoping to find a way to stop her and prevent anything of the like from happening again the future the Gods created the Immortal Sanctuary, filling it with the Immortal Gods, headed by the powerful Jermayne, The Immortal Hierarchy headed by Jia, and The Immortal Warriors as well as the Warriors of the Gods.
The I.S. helped beat back the masses but the problem didn’t end until Angelique started using her power over the water to destroy homes, families. Hera flew into a rage, building her own army of Magicas she and Hephaestus embodied them with powers over the water and it’s inhabitants and gave them the ability to live in the element that they now controlled.
With the added forces of the woodland creatures, the Dragons, the remaining Magicas, the I.S., the newly created Warfiela, and with Dementi, Derynia, and Navamos commanding the Demons to stand back they were able to defeat Angelique and destroy her.
Once the war was over the Gods went to work fixing the damage she had caused to their world, and when the they returned home Hera decided to stay, to rule over the beings she had created and to make sure no one ever used her element for destruction again.

Sherasati
Zodius, the God of strategy and the hunt, is unlike any other God or Goddess. He is immortal, as they all are but he is stronger, faster and more resilient than the others.
He hungered, not for the food that most crave, but for the life giving force flowing through the living beings placed on the Earth he helped build. Satisfying his hunger was a pleasure for both him and the one he fed from but her could easily turn it into a painful experience for the latter, could destroy what he fed from. He knew this but never sought to do either, knowing every life is precious, that every being has it’s own time and he was not to speed things along.
After the war with Angelique Zodius sought to contribute, to create something that would be valuable, helpful if the like ever happened again.
He walked the Earth, searching for warriors, those that were pure and would fight, not only for their own but for anyone who might need the assistance. He found four, three men, Morpheaus, Corlen, and Naetin, leaders of their villages, powerful warriors always at the front line when a battle had to be fought, and one woman, Andrayis, skilled, powerful, and willing to fight for all who needed it.
Taking them, he gave them the chance to become something more, something that could help the world immensely if it ever again had the need to be protected.
Waiting until each accepted he changed them, froze them as they were, making it impossible to kill them unless fire consumed them. Each reveled in their new strength and in the increase in the strength of their powers. Morpheaus' telepathy and astroprojection, Corlens power over water and air, Naetins ability to change shape, and Andrayis; power as a confessor.
Zodius showed them how to use their newfound power, showed them how to fight, how to hunt, how to survive. Starting them with the blood of animals, for it was less potent, he showed them how to control their hunger.
In the beginning they did whatever he said, longed to be near him, and needed him for comfort and consultation. The bond between sire and fledgling was strong, but as time grew the bond weakened, he could still sense them always, could tell if they were happy or in grief, whether they were hurt or hungry, as they could with him. He could still speak through their thoughts easier than any other but their need for him wasn't as great.
In time, when they had honed their skills and learned to control their hunger, they went back to their villages, back to their lives. For Naetin and Andrayis it was almost the same as when they had left and they went back to their old roles as easily as ever. For Morpheaus life was the same until a woman named Alina came to his village. A woman with hair the color of the sun, eyes the color of a stormy sea and a heart that welcomed all around her.
He hungered for her, in more ways than one. Hoping for an explanation of why he wanted her so he sought out his creator. Zodius' answer was a laugh and a suggestion that he spend time with the young woman, being careful to control at least the more deadly of his baser instincts. Taking Zodius' advice Morpheaus quickly fell in love and married Alina with the blessings of the Gods and surrounded by his new brothers and sister.
His life was filled with joy but knowing he would outlive her he spoke with Alina, pledged to beg the Gods to undo what had been done. Not wanting him to give up the gift he'd been given she offered herself, asking him to change her, to make her as he was. Once again wanting the advice of his sire he left her to seek him out. Upon returning however his bride had news, she was carrying their child. Worry and joy battled in his heart as he pulled her close and prepared for their life together.
While Naetin and Andrayis went back to their lives and Morpheaus carved out his own, Corlen went back home and tried to pick up where he left off, but the power inside of him made him restless and the hunger that gnawed at him wasn't satisfied with the animal blood and small amounts of Magica blood he drank. Need for more, more blood, more action, more power coursed though him until he started to take.
Frightening those in the village into submission, feeding on more Magicas, draining them and taking their power, their souls, into himself, trapping them so they could never be reborn. Changing those who were more powerful, using their bond with him as a weapon.
Sensing the corruption in his youngest fledgling Zodius went to him, tried to soothe him, show him that his ways were wrong, tried to show him the damage he was doing. Blocking out everything he was being told Corlen tried to have his fledglings attack the God, but they had enough of Zodius' blood that was passed to them from Corlen that he could push them back.
Enraged Corlen set out to increase his numbers, him and his fledglings creating more like them until he had an army that he believed could rival even the Gods.
Mourning the loss of one of his fledglings and knowing what he had to do Zodius called the Gods together and sought the help of the three others he had turned. Naetin and Andrayis came ready to battle. Morpheaus, leaving Alina heavy with child behind, joined his brother and sister, worry for his wife and for the life of his younger siblings laying heavily accompanied by the grief of losing Corlen and anger at the need for the upcoming battle.
When the two armies collided both fought hard. Corlens army with the added strength of newborns and instinct and Zodius' with skill tinged with grief. In the end Corlens army lay dead but Corlen himself had disappeared. They searched for him and found nothing until Zodius broke through the block Corlen had thrown up in his mind and used their minds link to find him. They came upon him in the woods far from where the battle had taken place, hunched over the body of his latest kill. Straightening he looked at them and smiled, showing the blood glistening off his long canines and disappeared completely revealing the body on the ground.
The cry that ripped from Morpheaus could be heard for miles as he saw what lie in front of him. Alina, covered in blood, eyes open and staring lay in the clearing, her throat and stomach ripped, the child that she had been carrying lay beside her, still attached to it's mother. Morpheaus knelt beside them and wept and Zodius, feeling his pain as though it were his own, wept with him.
Looking into the eyes of his wife Morpheaus jumped up, grabbing Zodius he begged him to bring her back, to ask Remora to bring them back, offering himself as trade he knelt at Zodius' feet and wept, but what he asked could not be done.
Sherasati are not living beings therefore the Gods had little control over them, they could not see what they would do or who they would kill and since they trapped the souls of their victims inside of themselves they could not bring Alina back.
For days Morpheaus locked himself in his home. His grief turning into hate, Hate for the Gods for he believed it was they who had taken Alina away from him. Stealing into the woods he spent many years where no one could find him, blocking Zodius from his mind. The first to see him when he returned was Hena, Goddess of death. He attacked her with the army he had been building and training.
When she lay exhausted on the ground after hours of battle he lifted her and started to drink her blood but was flung away when Zodius and the others arrived. The fight was brutal and in the end Morpheaus' army lay dead and the Gods were depleted of energy. Morpheaus vowed that he would make his army stronger, larger and that he would come back and slay every God and Goddess he encountered before disappearing into the forest once more.
Heeding his threat the Gods had no choice but to return to their home lest risk their destruction and the destruction of all they had created. Sealing the gates they stay, but to keep the gates shut they need every ounce of magic that their home holds and the more of them there are the more power is drawn from the home in which they live. So every once in a while a Goddesses will leave her home and venture out to find one that can be trusted, who has heart and is brave and true enough to protect the life of the Godling or Demigod that the Goddesses carries.
After having the child the Goddess then returns, forever leaving her babe behind, always hoping they will soon be able to truly return.

Animas
Many years after the Gods returned to their home a plague swept the Earth. The dead were piling up in the streets, having to be buried in mass graves to spare room. Remora, the Goddess of life, returned to the planet they created to help those who she gave life to. It took time to stop the plague that had shook the Earth but eventually the world was cleansed, and Remora had fallen in love.
The name of the man who had captured her heart was never known, for anyone having any knowledge of him would put him in grave danger. Before long Remora was carrying. Her and her man made a home for themselves in the center of the woods and prepared for their life to begin. But shortly after the children, twins, one boy one girl, were born, they were found.
Corlen, feeling the surge of power that was the Goddesses and her children had searched through the woods until he came upon their home. Remora fought against the Sherasati and Demoni he commanded then taking her family she fled.
Huron, the God of Gods, sensing the fear in Remora went to Earth to help her. Together they created a home, protected greatly for Remoras children and her husband. Then they left.
Returning to the glade that held the gates to their home they prepared to open them when they felt another's presence. The Sherasati jumped at them from the shadows while his companions, Sherasati, Demoni, and Magicas alike surrounded them. They fought, outnumbered but not over powered.
While Remora fought off the mass in front of her a Sherasati tried to attack her from behind but was knocked aside when a large black wolf jumped from the trees. Soon the glade was filled with an assortment of animals, all those, who being attracted by the Goddess of life's power had left their homes to seek her out.
Wolves, Tigers, Snow leopards, Polar bears, and Lions followed the black, rushing at those threatening the Gods while Panthers, Ocelots, Chimps, Gorillas and Cougars leapt from the branches. Bears took down those that the others could not while Otters, Foxes, and Pythons coaxed others near the water where the Crocodiles could take care of them. Falcons, Eagles, and two lone Phoenix's came from overhead right before four large Elephants came stampeding into the clearing.
While the Demoni, Sherasati, and Magicas fled the animals turned to the wounded, helping those that could stand to do so and gathering around those who could not. Remora went to the black wolf who had joined the fight first. He was bleeding from bites on his back and neck and one side of him was badly burned, but he was still trying to stand.
Taking his head in her hands she let her power sweep over him, healing his wounds and making him immortal, this she did with every animal in the glade before opening the gates and going through.
Huron let his power surge through the clearing, enlarging each animal, making them stronger and faster but he didn't think that that was thanks enough so right before he went through the gates he let his power sweep over the animals once more.
When the gates had closed there was nothing in the glade but one lone man with hair black as coal and shining green eyes. Smiling at the place where the gates had stood he inclined his head, then turning into the great black wolf, disappeared into the forest.

Humans
Human beings are one of the youngest and one of the oldest species on Earth, this is because they are not their own species but a subspecies of Magicas.
After the Gods went Home their influence on Earth was greatly depleted. Magicas started turning away from those they loved, started killing unnecessarily, for simple things like money or land, even killing their own. Some started abusing their powers, some ignoring them and others born without them.
At first for a child to be born without any magic was rare, but as these children grew many turned from the magical world, creating communities of purely non-magical beings. They stayed in their communities, loving, marrying, and having children, also non-magical until the number of non-magical beings almost leveled with the number of Magicas.
With their numbers so great and their refusal to have anything to do with magic, including learning to protect themselves from it, Humans were in constant danger from dark Magicas, Demoni, and Sherasati alike.
In an attempt to protect them, the Immortal gods created a second dimension to the world, one identical to the one in which they currently lived. All humans who wished to went to this dimension where their imaginations and work could shape the land to their liking and they could live in relative peace.
Unfortunately, even though the Immortal Gods have powers similar to the Gods themselves they are not as strong so there are rifts between our world and the Magical world beyond it and once in a while a magical being will slip into the world of humans or a human will stumble into the world of it's ancestors.
Magical creatures who find themselves in the humans world are captured and tested on or killed, while dark Demoni, Sherasati, and Magicas are mistaken for human felons, the attempted capture of them usually resulting in the death of many unless the Immortal warriors get there first.
Humans who find themselves in the magical world are in constant danger, unless the first being that they stumble upon is someone willing to help them this mistake might be their last.
The rifts between the Human and Magical worlds are growing wider with each passing day. Telling a human that is not your mate or a future dragon rider about magic is forbidden in the magical world but if the curtain between the worlds drops the secret will be out and every human who turns their back this time won't have anywhere else to run. The battle is coming and this time Humans must stand with their ancestors or risk being wiped out themselves.
